Engine shots
Just a couple of shots of the engine bay of
my '77 280Z. It's got mildly ported .080 shaved and shimmed P79 head
with flat top pistons, a 264 deg .480 lift cam, N42 intake, 265cc/min
turbo injectors, 60mm TB with custom fab'd 3 inch intake tube, 6 - 2 -
1 header with a fab'd 2.5 inch 2-1 collector tapering down to 2.25
mandrel bent pipes out the back w/turbo muffler and SDS stand alone
fuel management. The bottom shot shows the 300ZX intake silencer placed
ahead of the cone air filter which helps reduce the loud intake honking
it had. The suspension is a mix of TMC springs with KYB shocks,
relocated front lower arm pivot points, some big "mystery" sway bars I
found in our junkyard, some urethane bushings, lots of new parts like
ball joints etc and the toyo 4 piston brake caliper mod. Car drive nice
with more planned in the future. The best part of this car is the floor
boards have -never- had any rust! :-)
